Dr. Kelly Harper

In March 2014, with the belief that authentic care for people opens the door for compassionate caregiving, Dr. Kelly Harper founded Tuscan Ridge Animal Hospital in Wake Forest, North Carolina.

Dr. Harper and her staff are committed to providing exceptional veterinary services, combined with personalized, compassionate care, to the patients and families they are privileged to serve.

Originally from Virginia, Dr. Harper earned a Bachelor of Science in laboratory animal science from Delaware Valley College of Science & Agriculture in 1992 and a doctorate in veterinary medicine from the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine in 1997.

Dr. Harper’s well-rounded career includes practice in Ohio, New York, Virginia and North Carolina. Her diverse professional experiences and commitment to continued education are foundational in delivering cutting-edge medical and surgical care to every patient. Dr. Harper’s professional passions include dermatology, soft tissue surgery and senior pet care.

Professional obligations aside, Dr. Harper and her husband Brian are busy raising their teenage daughters Rachael and Lauren. The family enjoys traveling, watching/playing soccer and cheering on Virginia Tech–Go HOKIES!
