Cheryl Shiflett’s company, Rainwater Designs specializes in handcrafted jewelry incorporating semiprecious–stones from many countries as well as hand made beads from the African continent and middle East. Her passion for learning is reflected in the unique pieces she creates. Another passion is passing this knowledge on to her clients in addition to providing instructions about how to care for their jewelry. In Thursdays presentation she will be concentrating on handcrafted beads from Africa and the many materials utilized for bead making as well as the history and symbolism attached to each type. She will be bringing examples of many beads and pendants she uses in her designs.
