Elizabeth Waugh Duford
Elizabeth will speak on Sunscreen 101: Safe, Clean Fun in the Sun.” She’ll be focusing on enjoying the summer months safely with clean sunscreen options that protect your skin, without harming your body or the planet.
Elizabeth Waugh Duford is a Chapel Hill native, and a graduate of Williams College and the MSW program at UNC-Chapel Hill. She spent many years as a social worker, serving primarily low-income women and children, and unhoused individuals and families. Elizabeth lives in Chapel Hill with her husband, two children, two stepchildren, and seven pets! She shifted to being her own boss a few years ago to have a more flexible schedule, and is passionate about how the beauty products we use daily impact our health and the planet. Now she helps people make safe choices in cosmetics and skin care, with Beautycounter products that won’t harm you, your family, or the earth. Elizabeth also spends many hours doing anti-racist social justice work, which is her calling as a volunteer. When not working, parenting, or volunteering, Elizabeth enjoys working with crystals as a healing modality, hiking, live music, reading, and exploring spirituality.
