This time in a student’s life can be filled with choices, changes, and challenges. As a Life Coach, I work to empower these students. The Strengthsfinder methodology helps students identify their specific strengths and leverage them to overcome challenges, adapt to change, and achieve success. Whether it’s creativity, leadership skills, or problem-solving abilities, every student has something special to offer. I am based in Charlotte, NC, and offer in-person as well as remote sessions.
When does investing in coaching make sense?
- A trusted resource, that is not their parent, to guide them through this point in their life
- To create a roadmap and common language between parent and student; open communication
- Maximize their potential, set them on their own path with confidence and clarity
- Make important deliberate decisions about their future with data and a plan that aligns with who THEY are
- Identify and focus on what they are good at vs trying to improve what innately their lesser talents are. What makes your child stand out, where can they make an impact and where will they thrive
Success is more than academics. The goal of working with students is to help them become thriving young people who can make a positive impact on the world. Students need empowerment, confidence, and a clear vision of how they can contribute. My goal is to unlock these components to success through giving students better insight to their strengths. This leads to better engagement, a better sense of self, and ultimately, a better post-graduate life. I help students understand their potential and put their strengths in action no matter what path they choose. Through our work together, students understand what they do better than others. In the end, they are able to articulate those strengths.
Proven results:
- Gain clarity on where they can excel
- Improve study habits set actionable goals
- Determine what sets them apart and where they shine
- Understand how to apply their strengths to life decisions
- Work better in groups by adeptly navigating social dynamics
Statistics:
- Drive and Motivation: Less than 40% of teens strongly agree that they’re motivated to achieve their goals. (Procrastinate much??) By understanding and nurturing their strengths, we can ignite a sense of purpose and drive within our teens, empowering them to pursue their aspirations – and get off social media and X-box!
- Peer Influence: Positive peer relationships significantly impact a teen’s well-being and success. Let’s help our teens build supportive networks that celebrate their strengths and inspire growth, fostering an environment where they can thrive authentically!
- Life Path Clarity: Only 20% of high school teens have a clear understanding of their future path. It’s crucial to help our teens discover and leverage their unique strengths to navigate their career journey with confidence so they do not fall behind.
- Skill Development: 70% of teens feel they’re not getting the chance to develop their talents fully. Are we tapping into our teens’ natural strengths and guiding them toward opportunities that allow them to excel beyond academics?
- Experiential Learning: Surprisingly, only 35% of high school teens report feeling engaged in their learning experiences. A strengths-based approach can be used to encourage our teens to seek out hands-on opportunities aligned with their innate talents and interests!
