Managing Partner – Vega Vitality & Vega Fenton

Abby is responsible for the business operations, financial, legal, regulatory / compliance, and people relations aspects of the practice. She oversees short- and long-term strategies, executes system implementations, and consistently improves organizational behavior and operational efficiencies within the practice. Abby excels in project management and is recognized as the driving force behind initiatives at Vega Vitality. She is hardwired to execute and loves every opportunity to work with her team.

Abby has worked closely with her business partner and best friend, Ashley Hilmes, NP, for 8+ years. Ashley is the yin to Abby’s yang. Ashley embodies the entrepreneurial spirit and medical expertise, and Abby excels in execution and business expertise. In 2023, Ashley approached Abby about moving to North Carolina and partnering with Andrew Donohoe, MD, her husband’s best friend, to expand the practice regionally. The opportunity was too exceptional to decline. Abby is thrilled to launch Vega Fenton and Vega Wellness, and she is excited to continue to expand the practice in North Carolina.

Abby graduated summa cum laude from Boston College with a Master of Science in Leadership & Administration and cum laude from Regis College with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication with a minor in Business. She holds a certificate in The Science of Well-Being from Yale University and completed The Evolved CEO Certificate Program. Abby is a member of Women in Networking (WIN) – Cary Chapter. Before joining the Vega Vitality team, Abby worked at Morgan Stanley, Fidelity Investments, athenahealth, Trinity Life Sciences, and Reebok.

Abby is passionate about supporting animal rescues and fostering dogs whenever possible. She loves spending time with her friends & family, being a stepmom, continuing her education and spiritual journey, and traveling the world.

Abby resides in Durham, NC, with her husband and their dogs, Isla Gray & Rio Sky.
